writing for the sake of it....

Hello people, think positive and you may get through the pending display of poor grammar and prosaic prose. Oh look I used a word with a p, and another p... that's doubtless has a description that eludes me right now and I warn you, if you look up "prosaic" your head might explode. Mundane, perhaps, poetic perhaps not; the alliterate are genuinely at large.

Anyway, It's your fault not mine.

Now, I'm sure you've all heard of the Secret, it's that thing that encourages you to think about what you want and that also keeps being referred to as a movie although, I have my doubts. If you're a connoisseur of self proclaimed gurus like myself, you'll have heard this a few times too:

"Hi, you may remember me from the hit movie, the secret!"

Maybe I do, maybe I don't.

The thing is, when I manifested the secret DVD into my life, I may have been focusing a bit too hard on the pitfalls of spiritual claims and wish fulfilments that promise to be rather unfulfilling.

I'm not adverse to spirituality, nor exploring the mysteries of the universe, and I confess that I immediately created my own vision board of magic manifestation directly after viewing.

However, as someone genuinely looking for answers in life, I have had the tendency of being slightly disillusioned with what continues to be the naivety and over simplification of a complex and valuable pursuit:

Finding a way to change your life by finding practical ways that change the way you view and experience life.

I think we call it conscious living.

After realising that the Secret was an oversimplified suggestion, I then spent the next couple of years laughing my ass off at the abundance of people just waiting to tell you their Secret to why The Official secret didn't work.

When does it end...doubtless when you start finding the answers for yourself.

So,

Here's some free advice:

1) Never trust the financial advice of someone who only profits from advising you.

2) Don't let someone tell you how to focus your thoughts when they generally spend their life worrying if you'll buy their product or not.

3) Be dubious of anyone selling secrets.

4) be dubious.

5) be open.

6) Questioning the very fabric of who you are and your universe will always be hard; telling you it's easy is a great way to make a profit however.

7) be genuinely wise...

There ya go, I guess I'll call that 7 SECRET TIPS THAT DEFINITELY WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE!

seeya folks and stay positive,

Grant :)

The Secret to the Secret
